About Us

Physicians for Free Market Healthcare PAC is a physician-led organization fighting to preserve medical freedom and protect the doctor-patient relationship in Texas. Founded by practicing doctors who’ve seen firsthand the growing interference in how care is delivered, we’re building a united front to push back.

Our mission is clear:

Empower physicians. Protect patients. Keep government and corporate interests out of the exam room.

Led by our Board President, Dr. Christopher Chun, and supported by a board of respected Texas physicians — Dr. Raul Martinez, Dr. Jacob Rosenstein, and Dr. Indresano — we are committed to defending the right to practice medicine on our terms.

Join us. This is your profession. This is your fight.

Meet Our Board of Directors

Dr. Raul Martinez

M.D.

Dr. Raul Martinez, a San Antonio native, is double board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. After attending Central Catholic High School (’85) and St. Mary’s University (’89), Dr. Martinez attended the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he completed his residency in Anesthesiology. He later completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine and has been in private practice since 1999.

Dr. Martinez has assembled a strong team of outstanding clinicians and support staff who are compassionate and ready to serve their patients. He firmly believes that each member of his staff plays an important role in the patient experience. From the support staff, to the nurse practitioners, to the physicians, each person plays a vital role in helping patients find relief from chronic pain.

During his fellowship, Dr. Martinez was recognized as an Outstanding Fellow in the field of pain management, however his greatest honor is having other physicians from the community seek him out with their own pain management needs. Knowing that his peers trust him with their own care, inspires him to continually strive for ways to provide the very best patient experience.

Dr. Martinez knows that pain management requires so much more than simply writing prescriptions as he constantly seeks for ways to help patients overcome challenges and to move beyond their pain using the latest in pain management technology. Dr. Martinez believes how one practices and relates to their patients is critical to the success of their treatment. He does this by providing medical care with the highest degree of integrity, avoiding unnecessary procedures, and keeping customer service as a high priority.

When Dr. Martinez is not working, you can catch him enjoying and exploring the outdoors with his son and daughter. His children are his greatest achievement and “Dada” is his favorite title.

Dr. Martinez and team look forward to positively impacting the lives of the people who walk through the doors of our clinics.
